A Family Ranch Since 1949
Our family began range-growing turkeys in 1949 on our ranch nestled in the Sierra Foothills. At Thanksgiving we sold our turkeys to the local folks who enjoyed a trip to our ranch each year.

Today we produce our turkeys and turkey products year around but, really, not much has changed... same ranch, same firm belief that our family secrets consistently produce a better tender and juicy turkey that has real old-fashioned turkey flavor and same great quality.

Most importantly, we guarantee that if it has the Diestel brand on it, you can be assured that the product meets our strict quality standards, which ensure that the animals were sustainably raised and that the product is delicious and all-natural. After all, this has been our family tradition since 1949.

We invite you to taste the difference!

Committed to sustainability

By sustainably farming our ranch we help provide the best outcome for both our human and natural environments... now and into the indefinite future.

We want nature to work with us, not against us, and vice-versa, so we ask ourselves, "How do we create a system that allows nature to dictate the best path"?

Once again, Diestel Turkey was voted as one of the best-tasting turkeys by the San Francisco Chronicle! The panelists chose two Diestel Turkeys--the Heidi's Hens Organic and the Original Diestel Turkey--as clear favorites for a free-range turkey.

The panelists raved how Diestel's range-grown turkeys had "clear turkey flavor and a firmer texture." Of the five turkeys tested, a Diestel turkey was given the distinction as the bird that "tastes like a turkey should." (PHOTO Brian Baer/Special to the Chronicle)
