For those that simply want the holidays to be a no fuss, family and friends time of year, our Diestel Whole Naturally Oven Roasted Turkey is the perfect choice. Fully cooked, it merely needs to be heated to taste to enjoy with the rest of your meal.
Directions:
To enjoy a moist and tender turkey, just remove chilled (not frozen) bird from bag, then heat by following one of these simple directions.
THE BASIC: do nothing! Simply remove from bag. Place in a roasting pan and heat at 325º F for approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Turkey will brown naturally.
THE PASTE OR RUB: spread exterior of turkey with a blend of your favorite herbs and spices or with a paste made of the following ingredients, then heat as directed in "The Basic," then enjoy!
4 Tbsp. olive oil
2 tsp. salt, or to taste
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. paprika
NOTE: While this turkey is fully cooked we recommend heating-to-taste. When using a meat thermometer heat to suggested internal temperature of 160º F. Let stand for 15 minutes before carving.
